Michael Alcenius, CPHQ
Vice President and Compliance Officer

Mr. Alcenius joined Valor Healthcare following a distinguished sixteen year career as Associate Director of Standards at the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. During his years there he assisted with development of standards that address quality and safety of patient care in V.A. and other outpatient and inpatient settings. In addition he trained staff and developed education programs.

Most recently, Mr. Alcenius was Director of Quality and Risk Management for a health care system in Albuquerque, NM.

Trained as a Physician Assistant and Cardiopulmonary Perfusionist, he also holds degrees in Biology and Marketing and is board certified in heath care quality through the Healthcare Quality Certification Board.
