Timothy TJ Rose- Vice President Veteran Outreach

TJ Rose joined Valor in November 2007. Mr. Rose provides outreach to nine Valor VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics to include: Dunkirk NY, Monaca PA, Greensburg PA, Danville VA, Hillsville VA, Cookeville TN, Federal Way WA, Lake City WA, and Bellevue WA.

Prior to joining Valor Healthcare, Mr. Rose was a Veterans Service Officer for Mecklenburg County, NC which serves over 62,000 veterans in the greater Charlotte Metropolitan Area. In this position, Mr. Rose filed VA Healthcare Benefits within the Veterans Health Administration, compensation and pension benefits within the Veterans Benefits Administration, and burial benefits within the National Cemetery Administration. Mr. Rose also handled and filed VA Home Loans, Dependency and Indemnity Compensation, Education Benefits, and Vocational Rehabilitation.

Mr. Rose is a JTAC (Joint Tactical Air Controller) with the 118th Air Support Operations Squadron in Albemarle, NC. He is currently serving his 8th year in the North Carolina Air National Guard. Mr. Rose served three tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom providing Close Air Support for the US Army and Marines. Mr. Rose’s combat tours have earned him numerous medals and awards to include the Bronze Star w/ Valor, Purple Heart, two Army Commendation Medals, Air Force Commendation Medal and the Army Achievement Medal along with five combat patches. Mr. Rose was awarded the Airman of the Year Award in 2004 and was submitted for the Top Twelve Airmen of the Air Force.

Due to two separate activations for deployment to Iraq, Mr. Rose had to withdraw from two semesters in pursuit of his Bachelors degree in both Psychology and Information Systems Technology. Nevertheless, his continued efforts and determination will later provide both from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
