Washington, D.C. – Valor Healthcare
today announced the opening of a state-of-the-art,
newly-renovated VA Community-Based
Outpatient Clinic located in Santa
Fe Springs, Calif.
With this announcement, Valor now
operates 18 clinics across the country.
The Santa Fe Springs clinic is the
company’s fifth in California,
joining clinics in Laguna Hills, Oxnard,
Gardena and East Los Angeles. Working
with the VA Long Beach Healthcare System,
Valor brings high quality, conveniently
located healthcare to veterans in Los
Angeles County.
“We are honored to join the
Santa Fe Springs community in providing
area veterans with greater access to
high quality healthcare,” says
Howard Lewin, CEO of Valor Healthcare.
“We have a reputation for providing
convenient and accessible care at our
clinic locations throughout the U.S.,
and we look forward to offering the
same services to the large veteran
population in Santa Fe Springs.”
Valor will occupy the current VA clinic
location, but has made extensive renovations
to the space. The 3,500 square-foot
clinic will now offer primary health
services, including women’s health
services, lab work, digital X-rays,
retinal screenings and EKG, in addition
to mental health services. With its
national industry reputation as a top-quality
medical provider, Valor customizes
the design of each facility to meet
veterans’ health needs, including
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
“Santa Fe Springs and Whittier’s
veterans population deserves the best
healthcare possible,” says Louie
González, Santa Fe Springs Mayor.
“Valor is a welcomed addition
to our community, and I am excited
to see the high quality healthcare
they will deliver to our veterans.”
In recognition of its high standards
of patient care, Valor is the only
contract provider of primary care services
to receive the Joint Commission's Gold
Seal of Approval™ for all of
its VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinics
across the United States. A growing
company, Valor provides healthcare
services to approximately 62,000 veterans
through more than 100,000 clinic visits
per year.
The Santa Fe Springs clinic opening
comes at a time when the Department
of Veterans Affairs seeks to further
expand the number of community clinics.
This year, the VA announced a plan
to open 31 new clinics by the end of
2010. Together, Valor and the VA seek
to make quality healthcare more accessible
to U.S. veterans by bringing healthcare
professionals closer to them.
The Santa Fe Springs clinic is located
at its former location: 10210 Orr &
Day Road, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670.
